Gift Me was born to surprise your loved ones. Our journey in gifting started back in 2018 with handmade paper based gifts and cards which creates perfect memorabilia for loved ones and then we had the question why don’t we use this creativity to make a gift? And we found the answer and that is where we started To U from Gift Me for beautifully curated gift boxes to make each and every gift unique and memorable.

This website is operated by Gift Me. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Gift Me. Gift Me offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

Our store is hosted on our own website (www.giftme.lk). Our online e-commerce platform showcases our products and services that offer to you.

SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us.

The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

SECTION 5 – PRODUCTS OR SERVICES

Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through the website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are not subject to return unless it’s damaged during the delivery.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

Product completion time

We will be needing 3-4 working days to complete your gift box that doesn’t include any personalized goods or goods made or resourced to a customer’s specifications. If your box contains personalized goods or goods made or resourced to a customer’s specifications we will be needing 5-7 working days to complete your gift. This can be changed from gift item to gift item.

We start working on customized gift items upon full payment and order processing time starts upon your payment, unless it’s a cash on delivery order.

Customers are required to inform us if he/she needs any particular design/colour for the gift box they order under the customized gift box category, if not informed we hold our rights to use our best knowledge and design perspective to match colours accordingly and complete the gift box. In such situation our designers final design cannot be challenged.

Delivery Terms

Delivery of all our products will be island-wide. Cash on delivery is available within the Colombo district only for the gift boxes that don’t have any personalized goods or goods made or resourced to a customer’s specifications. Depending on the location, your order will be sent through our delivery partners or through courier. We guarantee exact date delivery for the orders to be delivered within Colombo only.

Standard Return/Exchange Policy

We deeply believe you will be thrilled with the products you received from Gift Me. That’s because we go out of our way to ensure that they’re just what you need. However, there can be unfortunate events where your items get damaged during the delivery. In that unlikely event of a damaged product please do call us +94 77 281 8839 immediately or drop us an email to info@giftme.lk as claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivering the products.

We will pick up the damaged items and re-deliver the corrective items within a reasonable period of time it’s been reported.

Products we are unable to refund or exchange (except for damaged or faulty items)
We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on following items; perishable goods such as food, flowers, cakes, chocolates,cookies, personalized good or goods made to a customer’s specifications, goods which, by reason of their nature, are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, also toiletries, perfumery, cosmetics, jewelries, earrings and accessories, drinks, intimate or sanitary goods, books and magazines, gift Vouchers, and Some health and personal care items.

Policy for Change or cancel an order

If you wish to change or cancel an order, contact our hotline +94 77 281 8839 any time between 9am and 7pm, 7 days a week or email us at info@giftme.lk. Refunds will not be issued for requests made after 7 days of order placement or if your order is in the processing stage or if your order has already been delivered or already been purchased from the vendor.We reserve the right to refuse the refund in such an event

Substitution policy for all other products

We will always go out of our way to try and deliver the products that you want and items are reserved on a first come first serve basis upon your order confirmation. But in a rare occasions if a substitution is required, we guarantee to always substitute products of equal or higher value. However, if a substitution is required, we will contact you and inform you of any changes made to your order before proceeding to process it. This allows you to accept the changes or cancel the order unless there are personalized goods or goods made or sourced to a customer’s specifications . For more information, feel free to contact us.

External Item Deliveries

Gift Me adheres to the following regulations which relates to sending external items/parcels along with the Gift Me gift delivery.

• Gift Me does gift deliveries and accepts parcels/items that need to be dispatched along with the purchased goods from Gift Me.

We do not accept delivery items such as,

• Beverages/Liquids
• Perishable Goods
• Weapons/explosives
• Animals/animal parts or human remains
• Precious metals, Art-work, jewelry, watches, precious stones or other valuables
• Dangerous Goods
• Infectious substances
• Lighter fluid and Matches
• Tobacco or tobacco products
• Narcotics or intoxicants
• Alcohol
• White Goods (Fridges/freezers, washing machines etc.)
• Medication

The Sender warrants that the Shipment does not contain any Prohibited Goods as mentioned above and has been correctly packaged and is appropriately protected.

Gift Me reserves the right to unbox and inspect parcels/packages that need to be delivered with the Gift Me purchases and through Gift Me gift delivery.

In addition to the aforesaid, Gift Me has the right to open and inspect a Shipment without notice for security or customs or other valid reasons.

The Sender is responsible for each individual item,contained in the parcel which they hand over to Gift Me.

The Sender undertakes the full responsibility of all the items or packages that will be delivered along with Gift Me gift items.

SECTION 6 – ACCURACY OF BILLING AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

SECTION 7 – OPTIONAL TOOLS

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.

Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion and you should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).

We may also, in the future, offer new services and/or features through the website (including, the release of new tools and resources). Such new features and/or services shall also be subject to these Terms of Service.
